Class 4 Time Reduction Licence course

Course Overview

The Class 4 Time Reduction Licence allows you to drive a vehicle from 18,000kgs or over.

Our approved course will include a logbook unit standard 24089 (unless you can prove you have completed the unit with an NZTA-approved provider within the last twelve months and you can demonstrate that you are competent), complete the Class 4 Unit Standard 17576 which consists of both theory and practical.

All our courses include morning and/or afternoon tea. Plus, we have the ability to be flexible around your working environment – we can come to your workplace to train your staff!

NZQA Unit Standard

17576 – Operate as rigid vehicle to meet the requirements for a full Class 4 Driver Licence, 7 credits
24089 – Demonstrate knowledge of fatigue management, work time, and driver logbook requirements, 5 credits

Notes

You must obtain a Class 4 learner licence (4L) before enrolling in the course. Note that a theory test is not required for this licence.
Competency must be met to achieve endorsement.
The course fees include NZQA credit fees, but do not cover licence endorsements or medical costs.
Upon successful assessment of competency, you will receive an approved NZTA certificate. This certificate is not a licence; you must present it to an NZTA licensing agent (VTNZ or AA) to have it added to your licence.

This is a competency-based course, ALL pre-learn material MUST be completed before attending.
