Class 5 Time Reduction Licence Course

Course Overview

The Class 5 Time Reduction Licence allows you to drive a vehicle combination from 25,000kgs or over.

Our approved course will include the logbook unit standard 24089 (unless you can prove you have completed the unit with an NZTA approved provider within the last twelve months and you can demonstrate that you are competent), and the Class 5 Unit Standard 17577 which consists of both theory and a practical drive assessment.

The combination vehicle used for assessment must be loaded to 50% of its maximum payload, no less than 20,000kg.

All our courses include morning and/or afternoon tea. Plus, we have the ability to be flexible around your working environment – we can come to your workplace to train your staff!

NZQA Unit Standard

Unit Standards achieved:
• 17577 – Operate a combination vehicle to meet the requirements for a full Class 5 Driver Licence, 7 credits
• 24089 – Demonstrate knowledge of fatigue management, work time, and driver logbook requirements, 5 credits

Notes

You must hold your Class 5 Learner Licence before attending the course.
Training in the non-synchromesh gearbox is not part of the course content.
Should the candidate require practical training, this is completed at an additional cost.
Course costs include NZQA Credit Fees.
Licence endorsements or medical costs are not included in course fees.

This is a competency-based course, ALL pre-learn material MUST be completed prior to attending.

Competency must be met to achieve endorsement.
